Controlled-substance (seized drug) identifications from the NLCL Drug Chemistry Unit, seizure years 2021–2026 (2026 is January–June). Case-level counting: each substance is counted once per case. Filter by year, parish, or submitting agency; click a parish on either map.

Total Net Weight Seized by Drug
Kilograms, items with a reported net weight (all years, unfiltered)
Cases where the only controlled substance(s) identified were cannabinoids (“THC”), Methamphetamine, or exactly those two groups together. The THC group = all natural cannabinoids (delta-9, delta-8, THCP, THC-O, HHC, CBD, CBN); synthetic cannabinoids are excluded. Respects the year, parish, and agency filters.

Single-item cases by seizure year
Top Parishes — Single-Item THC / Meth Cases
Stacked by category
This map excludes cannabinoids and methamphetamine to show where other drugs of concern — cocaine, fentanyl and other opioids, synthetic cannabinoids, benzodiazepines — concentrate. Toggle case volume vs concentration (a location quotient, LQ, comparing each parish’s other-drug share to the service-area average). LQ > 1 = over-represented. Respects the year and agency filters (shows all parishes).

Parish Hotspot Ranking
A tablet is flagged counterfeit when its pressed imprint identifies a genuine pharmaceutical but the lab confirmed a different analyte — e.g. an M30 (genuine oxycodone) testing as fentanyl, or a G3722 / S903 Xanax bar testing as a designer benzodiazepine. Imprints are read from the analyst bench description against a reference table. Figures are a lower bound (legible, recognized imprint + confirmed analyte only). Respects the year and agency filters.

Most-Faked Tablet Imprints

Counterfeit Cases by Parish

Top Imprints — What Was Actually Inside, by Year
Confirmed-analyte make-up per seizure year for the most-submitted tablet imprints (genuine + counterfeit; all years and agencies). The genuine expected drug is shown in gray, substitutes in color — so you can see, e.g., whether M30 has always been fentanyl or switched.
Pick a drug to see which parishes submit it. Case count is the raw number of cases containing that drug in each parish. Weighted (over-representation) is a location quotient (LQ): the drug’s share of that parish’s cases divided by its share across the whole service area, so LQ > 1 flags a parish that submits proportionally MORE of that drug than average, regardless of its size — useful for spotting, say, unusually high Mitragynine or Gabapentin submissions. Type in the drug box to search any of the 242 substances seen 2+ times — including niche items like Mitragynine, Gabapentin or Xylazine. Use the Year filter above to divide the map by year, and the agency filter to narrow the source. Shows all parishes.
